Gabriela Carissimo brings her experience in litigation and administrative proceedings.
Dr. Gabriela Carissimo participates in the resolution of judicial and administrative disputes, as well as in arbitration proceedings and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, acting for both claimants and defendants.
She has extensive experience in judicial, pre-litigation and administrative dispute resolution, leading a team of professionals across all jurisdictions in Argentina. These disputes notably include civil, commercial and administrative law cases before national, provincial and municipal government authorities.
She represents the interests of local and international clients in complex litigation, focusing on commercial law matters.
In particular, she specializes in advising domestic and foreign companies on judicial and out-of-court debt restructurings, the purchase and sale of bankrupt companies, corporate dispute resolution, tax litigation, debt collection, enforcement proceedings, and corruption and fraud cases against disloyal employees.
She represents mutual guarantee companies and banking institutions, as well as creditors in debt claims, participating in litigation related to restructuring proceedings, enforcement of guarantees and the preparation of debt repayment proposals.
Together with the Corporate Department, she participates in the structuring and execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and legal due diligence processes.
Jointly with the Corporate Law Department, she is involved in corporate disputes at both the pre-litigation and litigation stages.
She also leads our Compliance and Best Practices Department, encouraging our clients to promote the adoption and inspire the use of best practices, on the understanding that organizational practices must comply with applicable regulations, as well as with ethical principles and good governance, oversight and transparency practices.
She has been a member of the Inter-American Bar Association (Argentine Chapter) and has attended conferences of the Inter-American Bar Association (I.A.B.A.) and the World Law Group (W.L.G.).
She is a member of the Buenos Aires City Bar Association (C.P.A.C.F.) and the San Isidro Bar Association (C.A.S.I.).
